Mission Statement

The purpose of The Glass Bar is to support and encourage the artistic expression and cultural development of the London women's community - including lesbian, bisexual, trans, queer and heterosexual women.

We invite, exhibit, present and promote high quality work of women artists in the visual arts, film, literature, theatre, music, comedy and all areas of live performance.

We provide a safe, comfortable, friendly and affordable space in central London for all women to meet, interact, network, be entertained, be educated, discuss, debate, celebrate, discover and explore women's art.

We believe that all our lives are enriched by social diversity, and we actively seek participation and representation from women across race, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability/ability, sexual identity, religious and political beliefs, social and economic status, and occupation.
